International Chef Day

Two of the most enjoyable and fulfilling and satisfying times in my life were when I was studying art and design and then years later doing my chef apprenticeship in my later 30s. Not an easy gig at that age! I was working in three kitchens plus doing a lot of voluntary work at a spiritual centre and raising two small kids but the pace, the hard work, the sweat and the creative challenge never made me tire of being a chef and training. I loved it.

The contribution to not only the culinary world but to the world in general and our happiness is immeasurable. Could you imagine life without chefs? I can't. Sure there are many wonderful cooks out there, but to skill up and become masterful at your craft and make it all look so effortless and taste so delicious once on the plate and have everything run smoothly and on time is what they bring at best. Thank you to all the amazing chefs out there my brothers and sisters, I love you. 🍳❤🌺
