Mystical Art

I paint visual sutras (aphorisms), cosmic truths to be unlocked by the inner awareness of the onlooker, you.  

Apart from being aesthetically pleasing and beautiful to have in your sacred space, with meditation and contemplation the viewer will authentically begin to be drawn to mystical inquiry.

As their awareness deepens, so does the audience’s understanding and relationship to the work.  Art that is a visual sutra has the power to awaken the innermost reality.  The energy and meaning of these works take an experience to understand and they provide that experience to the ready recipient.  

Each image has a sutra woven into it from its very conception by the spiritual energy flowing through in my daily ritual practices.

The themes of each sutra vary from expressing an experience of the Self, a topic of philosophy, a sacred ritual, great beings, a sacred temple deity and daily communion.  Whether colour, abstract, a line or form, they are still a multidimensional sacred visual representation of THAT which is wordless.
